First Racquet Baltimore Earns USTA Tournament Hosting Capability.
First Racquet is proud to announce an exciting milestone for our Baltimore Division. The team has officially acquired the capability to host USTA tournaments within the USTA Mid-Atlantic Section, significantly expanding both the opportunities available to junior tennis players and the reach of First Racquet’s mission.
With this achievement, the Baltimore Division will now be able to host both UTR and USTA tournaments. The addition of USTA-sanctioned events will attract a broader pool of players, provide more competitive opportunities for juniors, and help participants improve their USTA rankings and college recruiting profiles.
Beyond benefiting local players, this milestone represents an important step in the continued growth of First Racquet. Expanding our tournament offerings strengthens our presence within the tennis community, creates new opportunities for engagement, and enhances our ability to support the programs and initiatives that are at the heart of our organization.
This accomplishment reflects the dedication, leadership, and hard work of the First Racquet Baltimore team, who invested significant time and effort to become qualified tournament directors and meet the requirements necessary to host sanctioned USTA events. Their commitment has expanded First Racquet’s capabilities and created a foundation for future growth in the Mid-Atlantic region.
The Baltimore Division’s first USTA tournament will be a Level 7 event scheduled for July 25–26, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for First Racquet.
As First Racquet continues to grow across the United States, achievements like this help us build stronger tennis communities, create meaningful leadership opportunities for young people, and further our mission of making a positive impact both locally and internationally.
We extend our sincere congratulations and appreciation to the First Racquet Baltimore team for this outstanding accomplishment. We look forward to seeing the lasting impact this achievement will have on the organization, the tennis community, and the young people we serve.
Congratulations to the First Racquet Baltimore team on this remarkable achievement!
