As our First Racquet team continues to grow, we are ecstatic to share that our Greater Atlanta Area Director, Yohance Badyal, hosted a fundraising tournament last month in Alpharetta, Georgia. We are deeply inspired by Yohance’s drive and initiative to host First Racquet’s first UTR-verified tournament in his region all by himself. From preparing for the tournament to running it day-of, Yohance did an absolutely spectacular job of representing our organization and mission.
Also worth mentioning is that the Greater Atlanta Area seldom sees UTR-verified tournaments (at least as often as in some other states like Texas), and we are excited to see how we can help change this moving forward to allow more players of all levels greater access to competitive play!
