Since launching in early 2023, First Racquet has grown from a small student-led initiative into a thriving nonprofit that has touched lives across continents. In just over two years, we’ve expanded our team of officers, directors, and members; hosted numerous charity tournaments and training sessions; collected generous donations; and secured sponsorships to support our mission.
Led almost entirely by high school students, First Racquet is proud to have empowered both youth volunteers in the U.S. and underprivileged children in Angola through the game of tennis.
As graduation season approaches, we are incredibly proud to celebrate the first class of eight graduating seniors who have been at the heart of this journey. These student leaders are continuing their next chapter at amazing institutions, including: Johns Hopkins University, University of Texas at Austin, Rice University (2), Texas Tech University Honors Program, Emory University, and University of Chicago (2).
Their dedication to service, leadership, and global connection will continue to inspire us as they go on to pursue new dreams.
