“Fumigation” may not be the most common word you’d associate with shipping, but it’s precisely what we wrote on three of ten 18”x18”x28” boxes at the DSV shipping facility. Inside these boxes lies a large collection of items: 154 racquets, 37 tennis bags, 270 tennis shirts/shorts, 52 pairs of tennis shoes, 36 tennis hats, 10 pairs of tennis socks, 24 cans of tennis balls, and 4 water bottles. Their destination? Angola.
For the First Racquet team, this shipment marks a significant milestone. Over the past eight months, our dedicated team has tirelessly reached out to the greater Houston, Austin, and Oklahoma City tennis communities. We’ve strived to raise awareness and gather donations to support our cause.
In this journey, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our team members’ families. Their unwavering support and mentorship have been instrumental in achieving our ambitious goals within such a short span.
