On June 28, 2025, First Racquet celebrated its second anniversary of hosting tennis tournaments with a UTR charity tournament at Shadow Creek High School. We welcomed 55 players, filling a whopping 7 draws and bringing our courts to life with energy, competition, and community spirit. The event was also ran by our newly appointed officers, who stepped up and managed a well coordinated tournament. Even though one of the courts were not usable, our tournament directors Cindy and Sayuri did an amazing job of keeping up with the schedule even in the face of adversity.
The event reflected just how far we’ve come. From our humble beginnings of just collecting donations to now managing charity UTR tournaments, this anniversary was a proud moment for everyone involved. Matches were competitive but also super friendly, with players of all levels showcasing remarkable skills, grit, and great sportsmanship throughout the day.
From early morning warmups to thrilling finals in each draw, the courts were filled with long rallies, cheers of encouragement, and the buzz of a tennis community that continues to grow.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our dedicated volunteers, returning players, and especially our sponsors. Your support has made events like this possible, and your belief in our mission keeps us moving forward.
Congratulations to all our draw winners! Whether you walked away with a medal or just a good match under your belt, we hope you left feeling proud, inspired, and part of something bigger.
As we celebrate two years of First Racquet, we’re more excited than ever for what’s to come. Here’s to more matches, more memories, and many more years of serving up tennis for all. Thank you for being a part of the journey.
